HCFA Announces Automated Multi-Channel Chemistry Panel Alert

New automated multi-channel chemistry panels will be included in CPT 2000 for calendar year (CY) 2000. Because of claims processing complications and the Y2K system moratorium, HCFA will be unable to process any claims with these new codes for the first quarter of CY 2000. All providers, including physicians and laboratories, should continue to bill the old panel codes until April 1, 2000.
