Is it appropriate to report hydration
via an intravenous (IV) line sequentially after
chemotherapy is infused through an intraperitoneal
port (CPT code 96445)? If so, then what
CPT code should be reported for this service?

Yes, it would be appropriate to report
code 90760, Intravenous infusion, hydration; initial,
up to 1 hour. Codes 90760-90761 are intended to
report a hydration IV infusion to consist of a
prepackaged fluid and electrolytes (eg, normal
saline, D5-1/2 normal saline +30mEq KCl/liter) but
are not used to report infusions of drugs or...
