Code 90780, IV infusion for therapy/diagnosis, administered by physician or under direct supervision of physician; up to one hour, refers to those instances in which IV fluids, drugs, or a combination of both, are given over a period of time to treat a specific diagnosis, including evaluation of the patient's response to the therapy, with the intent of improving the patient's status (eg, dehydration, antibiotic therapy)...
