Delayed Reconstruction Following Mastectomy Using Gracilis Musculocutaneous Free Flap
A patient who is status post left side mastectomy due to left breast cancer presents for delayed reconstruction. The reconstruction was performed using a left vertical upper gracilis musculocutaneous free flap. There does not appear to be a qualifier under the root operation “replacement” to capture the use of the gracilis musculocutaneous free flap. How should we report left breast reconstruction using left vertical upper gracilis musculocutaneous free flap?
