Excisional Debridement and Placement of Wittman Patch
A 64-year-old patient presented in septic shock with an ischemic perforated abdominal viscus. She underwent laparotomy, and her abdomen was left open with a wound VAC in place. The patient then underwent excisional debridement of necrotic tissue off the fascia, and placement of a Wittman patch. If a Wittman patch is used during a procedure, how is this coded in ICD-9-CM?
