If this is the case, then what code would I use to report homocysteine? AMA Comment To report homocysteine, you would use 83090. The word Homocystine was a typographical error. The code should actually read as follows: 83090 Homocysteine This correction was included in the CPT 2001 errata, published in the December 2000 issue of the CPT Assistant.
