How do I report this procedure? Answer: Percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation is a procedure used by some physicians to treat urinary urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence. A needle electrode is introduced into the ankle near the tibial nerve, and an electrical stimulator is attached to the needle electrode to generate electrical impulses to stimulate the tibial nerve.
