February 2021 pages 5-6 Reporting Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential Testing Three new codes (92517-92519) and requisite parenthetical notes that specifically address reporting vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) testing were added in the Medicine section of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2021 code set. VEMP testing involves seeking an electromyogenic response resulting from stimulation of the vestibular system. This is typically elicited using high-intensity acoustic stimulation.
