A 67 year old patient status post previous fracture repair and free flap presents now with an infected nonunion fracture of right tibia. Debridement of the bone is scheduled to be performed and a plastic surgeon is called into surgery to re-elevate the 6 square centimeters of free flap so that the orthopedic surgeon can perform the debridement. Following completion of the debridement procedure the plastic surgeon returns to the OR for revision and advancement of latissimus dorsi free flap and advancement of local tissues.
