Adjustment of Cast Following Treatment of Fracture

A patient suffered a styloid fracture of the left wrist and received a short arm spica cast on a previous emergency room (ED) encounter. The patient now presents to the ED complaining of pain to the left wrist. The emergency room provider documents “left wrist pain and tight short arm cast” as the clinical impression.
