Traditionally low osmolar contrast material (LOCM) HCPCS code range Q9965-Q9967 and high osmolar contrast material (HOCM) HCPCS code range Q9958-Q9964 are administered as intravenous infusions during CT scans. However, it is becoming a clinical standard to administer LOCM or HOCM for oral contrast as well. Can the HCPCS Q-codes for LOCM or HOCM be reported for oral contrast?
