Amplatzer Occlusion Device

One of our physicians is performing Amplatzer occlusion in the cardiac catheterization lab. This device is used to repair cardiac anomalies and is implanted at the site of the defect via a catheter. Types of repair include atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus, patent foramen ovale, and ventricular septal defects. For example, a 4-year-old girl was admitted for treatment of a large atrial septal defect with right-to-left shunting. The patient had a history of pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum, status post right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) patch and bidirectional Glenn shunt. Echocardiogram demonstrated a moderately well developed pulmonary valve (PV) with antegrade flow across the RVOT and right-to-left shunt across an atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO). The patient underwent right and left cardiac catheterization and test occlusion of the PFO/ASD with Bermann catheter. An Amplatzer septal occluder was then placed across the atrial septum, the device was released and balloon occlusion of the ASD/PFO was accomplished. Can you help us identify the correct ICD-9-CM code for this procedure? ...
