Approval of Coding Guideline for Burns

The coding guideline for Burns that appeared in the March-April 1986 issue of Coding Clinic for ICD-9-CM pages 9-10, have been officially approved by the Health Care Financing Administration. Amend the Special Notice paragraph on page 8 of the March-April 1986 issue by crossing out the words "and for Burns" in the first sentence. You may wish to add the following note at the top of page 9, "Approved by HCFA October 1, 1986." ...
