A patient with symptomatic high-grade stenosis in the right internal and common carotid artery was seen today at our facility for carotid stenting. A percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and stenting of both arteries utilizing the Accunet capture device was performed. A 7-10 X 40 mm tapered stent was inserted into the right internal carotid artery. Since the stent did not cover the common carotid artery lesion, an additional 10 X 40 mm straight stent was positioned in the common carotid artery. Would it be appropriate to report this procedure with one or two codes? ...
