Bartholin's cyst

A patient was seen at our facility with a diagnosis of Bartholin’s cyst. She was scheduled to undergo an aspiration of the cyst. It is a common procedure; however, there doesn’t appear to be a CPT code that would capture the procedure performed. Some of our coders believe that CPT code 10160, Puncture aspiration of abscess, hematoma, bulla, or cyst, would be appropriately reported for this procedure.
