Program memorandum A-01-97 containing a list of corrected category designations for pass-through devices was recently published on August 8, 2001. All of the C-codes included in this document are used exclusively for services paid under the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and may not be used to bill for services paid under other Medicare payment systems. Here is a listing of the redesignated HCPCS codes contained in the PM. Please note: All the items listed in this program memorandum must be considered reasonable and necessary to be eligible for pass-through payments.
