There has recently been a recall on defibrillators because of known defects with the battery. While some of the patients will have the device replaced in an outpatient setting, others will be admitted to a hospital for this procedure. What would be the principal diagnosis for inpatient admissions or the reason for outpatient encounters to replace these defective defibrillators?
