Now that excludes notes have been added to category codes 875, Open wound of chest wall, and 876, Open wound of back, how are these "excludes" notes to be interpreted? Do they mean that a traumatic pneumothorax or hemothorax needs to be coded in addition to the open wound of chest wall or open wound of back? ...
