HCPCS code changes for drugs, biologicals and radiopharmaceuticals in CY 2008

For CY 2008, several new HCPCS codes have been created for reporting drugs and biologicals in the hospital outpatient setting. For CY 2008, several temporary C-codes have been deleted and replaced with permanent HCPCS codes. Users should pay close attention to the accurate reporting of units of service since the dosages in the new long descriptors may not correspond exactly with the long descriptors for the codes being replaced.
