HCPCS codes for the reporting of Albuterol, Levalbuterol, and Reclast® revised by CMS

Medicaid Services has made a few revisions regarding the billing of Albuterol, Levalbuterol, which are currently reported utilizing HCPCS codes J7611, J7612, J7613, and J7614. Effective July 1, 2007, these codes will no longer be billable for Medicare. They are being replaced by two new HCPCS codes. For non-Medicare reporting, it is important that you check with your respective payor for appropriate reporting instructions. Effective July 1, 2007, the new HCPCS Q codes are listed in Table 3.
