A new code 909.5, Late effect of adverse effect of drug, medicinal or biological substance, for late effect of an adverse effect of a drug has been created. Prior to this revision, late effect codes existed for poisoning and toxic effects of substances codes but not for adverse effects. The particular drug involved should be indicated by use of the appropriate E-code from E930-E949, Drugs, medicinal and biological substances causing adverse effects in therapeutic use. ...
