Lymphovenous Bypass Following Mastectomy
Following a left modified radical mastectomy, a lymphovenous bypass was performed to reroute the lymphatic channels into the veins in order to prevent potential blockage in the lymphatic system and allow excess lymph fluid to flow freely. What is the correct ICD-10-PCS code for a lymphovenous bypass procedure? There is no table with the root operation “Bypass” in the Lymphatic and Hemic Systems body system section. Would the root operation “Drainage” be appropriate?
