Revision of Cutaneous Ileovesicostomy

The same patient was admitted approximately one year later for a complex reconstruction of the cutaneous ileovesicostomy. On this admission, the ileum was separated from the bladder and the bladder opening was closed. A nipple was created by intercuspating the bowel segment and wrapping some of the opened up ileum back over on itself. Then the nippled ileum was again anastomosed to the edges of the bladder wall.
