RH (D) Alloimmunization (Sensitization)
A 30-year-old woman diagnosed with Rh-D alloimmunization (sensitization), who is gravida 2, para 1, was admitted to the hospital at 37 weeks for induction of labor. Her first pregnancy had resulted in a spontaneous abortion. She had received immune globulin (Rh D) as prophylaxis at that time, as well as during this pregnancy. Labor was induced by intravenous oxytocin into a peripheral vein, and the patient had a normal spontaneous vaginal delivery of a liveborn infant. How should this case be coded?
