Assign also a code to identify the number of vessels treated (00.40-00.43). Effective October 1, 1998, category 36.3, Other heart revascularization, has been expanded to allow the specific reporting of transmyocardial laser revascularization (TMR). TMR is a procedure which improves myocardial blood supply in patients with diffuse ischemic heart disease.
