Trichorionic/Triamniotic Triplet and Quadrachorionic/Quadra-Amniotic Quadruplet Pregnancy

New subcategories describing the number of chorionic and amniotic sacs in triplet pregnancy (O30.13); quadruplet pregnancy (O30.23); and other specified multiple gestation pregnancy (O30.83) were created to capture the most common presentation in multiple gestation pregnancy, where the number of placentas is equal to the number of amniotic sacs. In trichorionic/triamniotic triplet and quadrachorionic/quadra-amniotic quadruplet pregnancy, each infant has a separate placenta and amniotic sac.
