Previous Coding Clinic advice published on Versajet debridement assigned code 86.28, Nonexcisional debridement of wound, infection, or burn, for the Versajet debridement of skin and subcutaneous tissue. Are all debridements performed with the Versajet considered “nonexcisional”? What is the appropriate procedure code assignment in this case? ...
