December 2019 page 5 Changes to Exploration of Artery Codes For the 2020 edition of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code set, changes have been made to the artery exploration family of codes in the Cardiovascular/Arteries and Veins/Excision, Exploration, Repair, Revision subsection. One code (35701) has been revised, two new codes (35702, 35703) have been added, and three codes (35721, 35741, 35761) have been deleted. In addition, parenthetical notes have been added to instruct users how to appropriately report the new and revised codes. This article provides information about these changes.
