February 2020 page 10 Cytogenomic Microarray Analysis for Neoplasia For the 2020 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code set, a new Tier 1 molecular pathology procedure code (81277) is available to report genome-wide (cytogenomic) microarray analysis for neoplasia. Prior to 2020, cytogenomic microarray analysis was included as part of Tier 2 code 81406; however, the test has sufficiently increased in utilization to support conversion to Tier 1 status.
