Fracture of Orbit
Changes have been made to subcategory S02.1, Fracture of base of skull, and new codes were created to provide additional detail on fractures of the orbital roof, right side, left side, and unspecified side.
In addition, new codes have been created at subcategory S02.8, Fractures of other specified skull and facial bones, to provide additional anatomical detail on the specific orbital wall fractured, namely medial orbital wall, lateral orbital wall, and unspecified. These codes also specify right side, left side and unspecified side.
The changes to subcategory S02.1 and S02.8 resulted in 60 new codes...
