Question: Is it appropriate to report code 92506, Evaluation of
speech, language, voice, communication, and/or auditory
processing disorder with modifier 52, Reduced services, for
an assessment that includes only a voice assessment?
Answer: Yes. A voice evaluation is reported with CPT code
92506. Modifier 52 is not necessary in this instance. Code
92506 is used to report evaluation of speech or voice production,
receptive language, and expressive language abilities.
