Question: When a frontal and lateral orthodontic cephalogram is performed, may code 70350, Cephalogram, orthodontic, be reported twice (once for each view)? Or is code 70350 only reported once, no matter how many views are taken?
Answer: CPT code 70350 should be reported once when lateral and frontal projections are performed at the same session. As the practice expense inputs for the Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) database includes two sheets of X-ray film, this suggests that code 70350 was valued for two views from a technical expense point...
