Question: The patient presents with a perforated tympanic membrane. To repair the perforation the physician performs a tympanoplasty type procedure and uses a small intestinal submucosa (SIS) Biodesign® graft that was positioned medial to the perforation with the trailing tail medial to the tympanomeatal flap within the canal. The middle ear space was packed to allow for medial support, and the tympanomeatal flap was repositioned into its anatomic location. The procedure was completed similar to other tympanoplasty procedures. What CPT code(s) should be reported for the tympanoplasty using the SIS-based graft?
