2023 Emergency Care Physician Changes

Welcome to 2023 - so far, an interesting year.  This year, CPT made many changes to Evaluation and Management (E/M) services, including emergency care physician changes.  Emergency care CPT codes are simply a different form of E/M CPT codes.  They are services rendered by an emergency care physician in a hospital emergency room.  In most physician offices, urgent care centers, or health clinics, the office visit codes used to be CPT 99201 to 99205 and 99211 to 99215.  The difference between an 01 and 11 code is that the 01 code is a new...
