BREAKING NEWS: Senate leaders agree on terms for pay fix bill

Leaders in the Senate have agreed to stop cuts to Medicare payments for 12 months and have crafted legislation to do just that. The bill, the Medicare and Medicaid Extenders Act of 2010, would avoid scheduled cuts of 30% to physician payments under the sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula.
