New coding guidance: New CCI edits revised existing pain management codes

Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) edits v. 26.0 included hundreds of pairs that bundled existing pain management services into new codes for blocks and destruction of genicular nerves (64454 and 64624) and sacroiliac joint nerves (64451 and 64625) (APCPS 1/20). Round out your review of the new edit set with a review of codes that were bundled into existing pain management procedures and watch your claims for denials that indicate claims errors at the practice or payer level.
