Long-Term Care: CMS Proposes Payment Boost For LTCHs
Effective date change also proposed
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a proposed rule to increase Medicare payments to long-term care hospitals (LTCHs) by 2.6 percent beginning July 1, according to a CMS fact sheet.
That's an LTCH PPS standard Federal rate of $39,076.28 for Medicare discharges occurring on or after July 1, 2008, through Sept. 30, 2009.
