Bordetella pertussis Immunoglobulin A (IgA) Pertussis Toxin (PT) in serum qualitation by immunoblot. The presence of the IgA PT band indicates either vaccination or natural exposure to Bordetella pertussis. Pertussis toxin is specific to Bordetella pertussis. B. Pertussis causes whooping cough.
