The Central Office on HCPCS has received many requests regarding diagnostic coding and reporting guidelines for outpatient services. Although, this newsletter addresses specific HCPCS coding issues, we felt that publication of these guidelines would be beneficial in assisting with the coding and reporting of diagnostic conditions identified in the hospital outpatient setting.
