Electronic Cigarettes Causing Wheezing due to Exposure to Secondhand Smoke
A child presents to the pediatrician’s office with wheezing and coughing. The child does not have any history of asthma, bronchitis or other respiratory problem. Both parents smoke electronic cigarettes in the home. The physician documented that the wheezing and coughing resulted from the child’s exposure to secondhand smoke from the e-cigarettes.
