Replacements of HCPCS codes The HCPCS codes listed below have been retired as of December 31, 2001, however, because of the delay in using new 2002 codes, these codes remain in effect for hospital outpatient billing for drugs furnished through March 31, 2002. These codes will no longer be reportable under the hospital OPPS beginning April 1, 2002, new HCPCS codes listed below will replace these codes are effective April 01, 2002.
