CPT 2012 first look: Look for shoulder, knee scope code changes; more spinal fusion bundling

The way you code arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgeries, spinal fusions, wound care and other key services will change next year, according to the CPT^®2012 manual released recently by the AMA. In total, the manual includes 224 new Category I CPT codes and 133 revised codes. Some 96 CPT codes have been deleted for next year. All code changes take effect Jan. 1, 2012.
