Hemoglobin [Entitic mass] in Reticulocytes by Automated count   71694-4

LOINC code71694-4
nameHemoglobin [Entitic mass] in Reticulocytes by Automated count
descriptionThe hemoglobin content of RBCs (MCH) has long been one of the indices reported as part of the complete blood count. However, mature erythrocytes are not sensitive to recent iron homeostasis. The hemoglobin content of reticulocytes, RBC precursors, has more recently been proposed as a better indicator of iron deficiency and early response to iron therapy (Am J Hematol. 2008 Apr;83(4):307-10.)

propertyEntMass  =  Entitic Mass
timePt  =  Point in time:  To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
