Removal and replacement of one component penile prosthesis

What is the appropriate code assignment for removal and replacement of one component of a three piece penile prosthesis? CPT code 54408, Repair of component(s) of a multi-component, inflatable penile prosthesis, is reported for repair of prosthesis but does not make any reference to replacement. Therefore, we are not sure if this code would include the prosthesis component replaced. CPT code 54410 is reported for replacement but the code descriptor states “Removal and replacement of all component(s) of a multi component, inflatable penile prosthesis at the same operative session.” Would it be appropriate to report CPT code 54410 with modifier 52, Reduced Services, appended since only one component/part was removed and replaced? ...
