Scalene muscle injection

A patient with brachial plexus disorder with neck and upper back tightness presented for a scalene muscle injection. Preliminary sonographic images demonstrated conventional morphology of the left brachial plexus at the level of the scalene muscles. Under sonographic guidance and using 1% lidocaine as local anesthetic, a short 25-gauge needle was inserted into the anterior scalene muscle and 2.5 mL of lidocaine were injected.How is it determined whether a code should be assigned from the Medicine section or from the Musculoskeletal System?
