A 15-year-old with a history of refractory B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) presents with fever two days following chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell infusion. The patient developed signs and symptoms consistent with systemic inflammatory response syndrome, as well as neutropenic fever, low fibrinogen, acute kidney injury, coagulopathy and tumor lysis syndrome and was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit due to risk of cytokine release syndrome (CRS).
