Laparoscopic cecectomy

A patient presents for a laparoscopic cecectomy with anastomosis and excision of the appendix. Under direct vision, a laparoscope was placed in the abdominal cavity with CO2 utilized for insufflation of the abdomen. A portion of the cecum was removed requiring an end-to-end anastomosis in addition to removal of the appendix. The specimens were placed into an EndoCatch bag and removed.
