Mild Cognitive Impairment
Effective October 1, 2006, a new code has been created to identify mild cognitive impairment (331.83). Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a condition defined as diminished memory (or any other cognitive domain) that is beyond what is considered normal for age, with relatively intact functioning in the other cognitive domains.
