Nonmaturing Dialysis Fistula
A patient with a nonmaturing right upper arm arterial venous fistula was admitted for further treatment. An arteriovenostomy was performed. An incision was made from the axilla to the antecubital fossa over the basilic and cephalic vein. The vein was transected at the level of the antecubital fossa and a subcutaneous tunnel was created and the basilic vein was passed through. A second incision was made in the antecubital fossa exposing the arterialized cephalic vein.
