Effective October 1, 2004, new codes were created to distinguish between a transplant from a live related, live unrelated or cadaver donor as follows: 00.91 transplant from related donor 00.92 transplant from nonrelated donor 00.93 transplant from cadaver These codes are assigned in addition to a code for the actual organ transplant procedure.
